The application for re-development of 492 Finchley Road, was granted permission for the demolition of the existing detached dwelling and replacement with a new residential four storey building with lower ground floor level and rooms in the roof-space to provide 4 no. self-contained apartments. The proposed apartments are going to occupy one individual floor and will be accessed from each floor’s communal lobby. Taking advantage of the topography of the existing site, a courtyard within the lower ground floor was integrated into the design.

The new building design is harmonious and sympathetic to its setting, in detail the development on the site has due regard for the scaling, ridge and eaves heights of the adjoining properties on either side.
